After giving up my silly hope that Automator or the dirty-work-fairies would do all the tedious organizing and resizing for me, I finally started compiling my summer photos. Here are three dozen pics of my friends and our various big city escapades. Including:

So I showed the seaweed photo to a tiny Chinese friend of mine, and she provided the following partial translation:

In Chinese, we call it purple veggie, because it is dark purple.
The first sentence means: Laver is a member of ? species, ? family.

It is tasty and nutritious, rich in protein, vitamins, calcium and other minerals. It has health benefits if taken often.

The part in square brackets is: "Prepare:" or "Cook:".

The paragraph below it is: Tear the laver in small pieces. Put the laver in boiling water, then put salt, msg, scallion to taste. Finish with sesame oil.
